Lichfield is a market town with light industries; it is famous for its three-spired cathedral. There are five medical practices participating in the project, one single-handed practice and four large group practices, some with branch surgeries. The patient population is approximately 43,000, it is predominately a white middle class area with pockets of deprivation. There are seven participating community pharmacists, with thirteen accredited pharmacists. They are situated in different types of locations, such as high street, supermarket, health centres and villages.
